CD Live & Quietly Still

This album is a culmination of my singing career from its beginning to early 2000.  I used pictures of my Debut Show in homage and celebration of the phase of my singing career that gave me my start and great inspiration. I am now in a new wonderful phase and more of life has been etched into the mosaic of Me. I no longer sound the same. I have not been stagnant. I have mellowed and the backward view’s been great. (By the way, I still have been known to dance while performing!)

The  repertoire for this debut show, stemmed from the songs I had heard from early childhood. When I was growing up our home was always filled with my father’s music–from the piano, radio and phonograph. I also heard great live music of every genre, but mostly Swing, Jazz, Classical, Opera and Negro Spirituals. This was before televison, the internet and streaming) In our home I learned the”Count of Basie” and the “Duke of Ellington” were royalty.

Jazz Quotes

I want to be a force for real good. In other words, I know there are bad forces that bring suffering to others and misery to the world but I want to be the opposite force which is truly for good. John Coltrane
